Acetyl Octapeptide-3 — Snap-8 Anti-Wrinkle Powder
Acetyl Octapeptide-3 — SNARE complex inhibitor — reduces expression lines without injections.
Acetyl Octapeptide-3 (Snap-8) mimics the N-terminal fragment of SNAP-25, competing within the SNARE complex. By moderating vesicle docking, it reduces catecholamine release that triggers muscle contractions — resulting in reversible, dose-dependent smoothing of expression lines on the forehead, glabella and eye area.
Double-blind study at 3% in emulsion (n=20, 28 days):
• −63% wrinkle depth (silicon replica profilometry)
• −49% wrinkle volume
• Significant improvement vs placebo
Store at −20°C, sealed, protected from light. Once opened: 2–8°C, use within 6 months. Stable in formulas at pH 4.0–7.0 for 12+ months.
Measured Results
Independent peer-reviewed studies with profilometric and instrumental analysis under standardised conditions.
How to Use
Correctly incorporate Acetyl Octapeptide-3 into your cosmetic formula in three steps.
Dissolve in water phase
Dissolve at 3–5% in the aqueous phase at pH 4.0–7.0. Stable in serums, eye contour and creams. No co-solvent required.
Add below 40°C
Incorporate in the cooling phase after emulsification. Do not exceed 40°C to preserve peptide bioactivity.
Apply to expression lines
Apply 1–2x daily to forehead, crow's feet and glabellar area. Clinical improvement from day 14, significant at day 28.
